Today's Krillion Hints & Clues

Solve today's 7-round challenge with spoiler-free progressive clues, category frameworks, and strategic depth anchors.

The 3-Tier Progressive Hint Philosophy

In Krillion, copy-pasting answers spoils the game's core joy: discovering an answer so obscure that almost no one else on Earth thought of it. Use our 3-tier progressive clues to nudge your memory toward the 85-point (Deep Cut) and 100-point (Krillion) depth zones.

๐Ÿงญ

Level 1: The Gentle Nudge

Broad regional or thematic pointers to get your brain looking in the right direction without giving away any names.

"Geography: Think of landlocked nations in the Sahel belt or Caspian basin. Avoid Western Europe entirely."
โš“

Level 2: The Chronological & Domain Anchor

Narrow down centuries, specific sporting apparatus, or chemical periods to narrow the search space to 5โ€“10 candidates.

"History: Look for a Roman Emperor between 160 AD and 280 AD who did not build a wall in Britain."
๐Ÿ’Ž

Level 3: The Deep-Cut Blueprint

Guaranteed 85โ€“100 point characteristics (syllables, initials, or historical treaties) for players stuck at 5 seconds.

"Science: An element whose name ends in '-ium' with an atomic number between 60 and 70 (Lanthanide series)."

Subject Decoding Strategies for Today's Dive

Typical Prompts: Capitals, border rivers, landlocked nations, and island archipelagos.

Depth Secret: Move from West to East. Post-Soviet Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan) and Micronesia (Palau, Tuvalu) yield the highest depth.

History & Civilizations

Typical Prompts: Monarchs pre-1500, peace treaties, ancient empires, and pivotal battles.

Depth Secret: Avoid Roman Caesars and French Kings. Think Mesopotamian dynasties (Akkad, Ur) or pre-Incan Andean civilizations (Moche, Nazca).

Science & Chemistry

Full Category Guide โ†’

Typical Prompts: Periodic elements, moons of outer planets, anatomy, and geological periods.

Depth Secret: Skip rows 1 and 2 of the periodic table. Rare earth elements (Lanthanides) consistently score 100 points.

Typical Prompts: Olympic disciplines, equipment, niche leagues, and world champions.

Depth Secret: Avoid modern soccer and basketball superstars. Winter biathlon, modern pentathlon, and track field events yield instant 85+ points.

Cinema & Entertainment

Typical Prompts: Directors, Palme d'Or winners, film noir classics, and Oscar records.

Depth Secret: Bypass modern franchise blockbusters. Mid-century European New Wave and Japanese Golden Age films dive straight into the Hadal zone.

The 5-Second Emergency Bailout Rule

If you are down to the final 5 seconds on the 25-second countdown clock and still cannot recall an obscure 100-point term, do not let the clock expire. Immediately type the most common valid word you know (e.g., "Paris", "Gold", or "Shakespeare"). A 10-point Too Clever answer nets 100 meters, which keeps your submarine diving, whereas a timeout drops your score to 0 meters for the entire round.

Review our Scoring System Guide to understand the mathematical disaster of a zero-point round.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are new Krillion hints updated each day? โ–ผ

Krillion puzzles reset daily at midnight Eastern Time (04:00 UTC / 12:00 PM Beijing Time). Our hint frameworks and progressive clue guides update in sync with the global puzzle cycle.

Why should I use spoiler-free hints instead of direct answers? โ–ผ

Looking up raw answers robs you of the thrill of diving to 7,000 meters. Progressive hints train your long-term memory recall and help you discover the 85-point and 100-point rarity tiers organically.

Where can I practice testing clues without burning my daily score? โ–ผ

You can practice endlessly in Krillion Unlimited Mode. Unlimited play has no daily cooldown and allows you to test candidate words against the rarity engine freely.

What happens if a hint still doesn't give me the answer in time? โ–ผ

If the 25-second countdown timer reaches 5 seconds, follow the safety rule: enter any common, valid word immediately. A 10-point Too Clever answer awards 100 meters, which protects your streak from a 0m penalty.
